Greg Dulcich TE UCLA: Scouting Report

Height: 6’4’’

Weight: 242

Overall

Greg Dulcich is an athletic, receiving tight end in UCLA’s run-heavy offense. In his 4 college seasons, he played in 33 games, starting 17 of them. Due to the offense at UCLA, he did not have a lot of opportunities in the pass game, yet he was still very productive. In the right offense, he can be a dominant weapon in the NFL with his unique blend of size, speed, and ball skills.

Pass Game

Dulcich excels as a receiver. He has good speed off the line and shows savvy in his routes. He creates separation from defenders with both his route running and at the catch point where he can use his size to box out his man and make a pay on the ball. He made some excellent catches on film, and he can high point the ball as well as adjust his body to make tough catches down the field. Once the ball is in his hands, he has the speed and elusiveness after the catch to make defenders miss and create big plays. His size and strength allow him to break tackles and gain extra yardage too. He has the intangibles and talent to be a dominant receiving weapon at the next level and can beat both man and zone coverage.

Run Game

In the run game, Dulcich shows good effort in blocking and created some sizable running lanes at times. His size and arm length allows him to block both defensive linemen and linebackers, but he has some struggles against powerful edge rushers. He has very good technique and athleticism to make blocks at the 2nd level. His blocking skills will allow him to be a 3-down player at the next level, but he will have the greatest impact in the pass game.

Last Word

Dulcich projects best in a pass heavy offense where he can be utilized all over the field. He has experience running routes off the line of scrimmage, as a wing, and in the slot. He will be a 3-down player with his run blocking ability while dominating on 3rd downs where he can be a mismatch in the pass game. He also has experience playing special teams which further increases his value.

One-Liner: Greg Dulcich has the receiving ability to be an immediate impact player in the NFL and with further growth as a run blocker, he can grow into a franchise tight end.
