Skyy Moore WR Western Michigan: Scouting Report

Height: 5’10’’

Weight: 191

Overall

Skyy Moore is a Z receiver in Western Michigan’s pro style offense. He lined up everywhere on the field and had a ton of production on film. In his 3 college seasons, he played in 31 games, starting 25 of them. He is an excellent athlete, and his skillset will allow him to thrive in the right offensive scheme.

Pass Game

Moore has a very quick release off the line and creates separation with his shiftiness and route savvy. When lined up in the slot, he did an excellent job of using the open space to make quick cuts and separation on crossing routes, corner routes, and go routes. On the outside, he had some struggles getting past bigger defenders on deep routes, but he was dominant on slants and other in-breaking routes. He has excellent hands and can make difficult catches down the field. He is very good at tracking the ball and even though he Is undersized, he can go up and high point the ball over defenders deep down the field. After the catch, Moore has home run hitting speed to outrun the defense as well as the strength and contact balance to break tackles. He is a versatile receiver and can be a very productive receiver in the NFL

Run Game

In the run game, Moore was occasionally used on jet sweeps, and he has the play-making ability to be used in that capacity in the pros as well. Even with his lack of size, he showed excellent effort in blocking down the field which makes him a 3 down player moving forward.

Last Word

Moore lined up all over the field in college, but he projects best as a slot receiver in the NFL who can be used on the outside to stretch the defense or run in-breaking routes when needed. His excellent route running ability and hands will make him a very reliable receiver on 3rd down and he can be used in the return game as well.

One-Liner: Skyy Moore has the route running and hands to be a reliable receiver in any offense but in the right system, he can have game changing production in the NFL.
