Kenyon Green OG Texas A&M: Scouting Report

Height: 6’4’’

Weight: 323

Overall

Kenyon Green is the strong offensive lineman in Texas A&M’s run heavy offense. He lined up all over the line on film including left tackle and both guard spots and was successful at each position. In his 3 college seasons, he played in 35 games, starting all of them. He is extremely versatile and has the experience to be an immediate starter at multiple positions at the next level.

Pass Game

Green has a strong initial punch and uses his excellent footwork to get into his pass set quickly. At tackle, he has very good balance and does a good job of using his hands to keep defenders at a distance. He needs to be more consistent in his first step quickness but that should not hurt him moving forward. When lined up on the inside, He has very good hand fighting technique to keep defensive linemen from getting to his chest. He has a good anchor, but he had some struggles against LSU’s bigger, more powerful nose tackles but more often than not he was dominant as a pass protecting guard.

Run Game

In the run game, he can do it all. He has the athleticism to move laterally and be used on reach blocks as well as the strength and drive to move defenders and open up big running lanes. He is a powerful player, and he was often used as a lead blocker in Texas A&M’s run heavy offense. He played a key role in their success on the ground, and he will be a very strong run blocker at the next level.

Last Word

Green has the versatility and technique to play anywhere on the line, but he projects best as a guard, but he truly can play all over the line in the NFL. Whether he is lined up at tackle or on the interior, he is an immediate impact player and can be a dominant lineman. His versatility will make him extremely valuable in the pros.

One-Liner: Kenyon Green has the technique and athleticism to play any position on the line in the NFL and he will be an immediate impact player as both a pass and run blocker.
